Experiment with different approaches to capturing voice, rhythm and speech on the page with Dr Jenny Amos.

Please note: this event takes place at St. Clement’s Art Centre (Fore St, Ipswich IP4 1JZ).

What does it mean to write in dialect? Does a character’s accent need to be consistent and accurate – and how do we ensure it remains clear to the reader?

This session explores these questions while introducing a range of techniques, and through discussion and practical exercises, you’ll experiment with different approaches to capturing voice, rhythm and speech on the page.

Hosted by Dr Jenny Amos of the University of Suffolk.
