Jo Quail is a composer and virtuoso cellist from London, widely recognised for her innovative use of live looping and her ability to create immersive, emotionally powerful music from a single instrument. Performing solo and with ensembles, bands, choirs, and orchestras, her work combines organic >luidity with intricate sonic architecture, seamlessly balancing crushing intensity with moments of intimacy and stillness. Drawing on in>luences from contemporary classical, metal, avant-garde, and experimental music, Jo’s work appeals to a broad and diverse audience. She has performed internationally at major venues and festivals including Hellfest (France), the Melbourne Recital Centre (Australia), Roadburn Festival (Netherlands), and the Royal Albert Hall (UK). Her live performances are consistently praised for their atmosphere and impact, with Distorted Sound Magazine noting: “Whether you’ve seen Jo Quail before or not, you leave utterly spellbound by the talents of this extraordinary woman.” “A technical and creative marvel. radiating profundity and substance.” — Loud Women “A journey to the outer reaches of what is possible with an instrument when skill and imagination are boundless.” — Devolution Magazine www.joquail.co.uk White Noise Winter is Daniel Neko.
