When the Gods offer him a glimmer of hope, he ventures into the Underworld. But what begins as a journey to bring her back becomes a descent into the architecture of his own mind. In this new version of the myth, Orpheus’ becomes a strange and shifting world where memory and reality collide. Composer Leo Grant conveys this musically through new instrumental and electronic re-arrangements and re-compositions of Gluck’s material.
