RUSSELL WATSON’S MID-SUMMER MATINEE – TRULY SPECIAL.

Come join Multi-Award Winning tenor RUSSELL WATSON accompanied by world renowned Pianist/arranger/writer MIKE MORAN in the Historic Lavenham August Theatre, Suffolk. This will be a magical matinee show which should not be missed.

Russell Watson never imagined he would someday be hailed as one of the world’s greatest classical singers. Since being described by the New York Times as a performer “who sings like Pavarotti and entertains the audience like Sinatra” he subsequently released ten studio albums, each one receiving more critical acclaim than the last. His debut album ‘THE VOICE’ shot up the UK charts where he held the number one spot for a world record 52 weeks. At the same time, Russell held the number one spot in the USA, making him the first British male to hold the accolade of a simultaneous transatlantic number one. His second studio album ‘Encore’ soon followed, it became an even greater success selling almost two million copies worldwide. During this period Russell was rewarded with various awards including four Classical Brits.

A very special afternoon and a real exclusive Four-time Brit Classical Award winner Russell Watson, accompanied by his pianist, Mike Moran performance, along with special guests The Song Circle Choir.
The world-renowned tenor will be performing a special show with classic songs old and new, together with a selection of hits from his illustrious career. A truly spectacular concert experience is in the offering in the heart of Suffolk.

Russell has sold more than 7 million albums and performed for Her Majesty The Queen, The Pope and two US Presidents. Captivating to watch and enchanting to listen to, Russell continues to wow audiences with his enigmatic and entertaining live performances.

PLUS SPECIAL GUEST: THE SONG CIRCLE CHOIR

Song Circle is a choir of women of all ages, coming together in community and song. The choir was formed 5 years ago by Anna Winton Mills and exists to encourage all women to sing, whatever their previous experience.
Song Circle meet in 6 different rehearsal groups each week, spread across a wide area of Suffolk. Each term the choir perform a concert, usually in local churches, and they’re delighted to have been invited as guests of Russell Watson for a special afternoon matinee at the Annual Lavenham August Theatre.

They cover a broad range of music from musicals to pop songs to light classical and other well-known pieces. Some songs are sung in unison (everyone singing the same tune) but most are sung in harmony.

This show is reserved seating and Picnic Area. Reserved Seating is fully undercover and will be allocated on the day.
