Following a hugely successful run of shows, Steve Knightley and the Winter Yards Band return to The Apex. Best known as co-founder of revered folk phenomenon Show of Hands, Steve Knightley’s latest work blends poetic songwriting with a cinematic acoustic sound, a ‘folk noir’ style which has been winning audiences across the UK. Featuring David Delarre, John Parker and Evan Carson, the show combines songs from the Winter Yards album with powerful new material written on the road — stories of landscape, community and the changing world around us. Plus Special Guest Megan Henwood We're absolutely delighted to welcome the exceptional Megan Henwood as special guest on this tour. Many of you will remember Megan from touring with Show of Hands some years ago. Her poetic, beautifully observed songs, distinctive guitar playing and powerful, expressive voice made a lasting impression, and she's since established herself as one of the country's finest contemporary singer-songwriters. Megan will begin with a spellbinding 35-minute set of her own, before returning to the stage later to become part of the band. She'll add her voice, songs and musicianship to create an evening that promises to be far more than a headline act with a support.
