Talk – Black Americans in c19th Essex and Suffolk, speaker Dr Hannah Murray
Discover the remarkable and largely forgotten story of the Black American freedom fighters who travelled through nineteenth-century Britain campaigning against slavery, racism and oppression. Dr Hannah Murray explores their connections with Essex and Suffolk, the powerful lectures they delivered to local audiences and the impact their campaigns had on British society.
