100% Badgers is a sell-out 2025 Edinburgh Fringe stand-up comedy show where Matt Hobs talks about how the worlds of humans and badgers collide.
The show takes us on Hobs’ journey from a passing interest in badgers, to an obsession that leads to him standing in a field looking at a caged, frightened badger caught up in the misinformation of the bovine TB debate.
We’ll learn about the European badger and its dachshund nemesis, the presidential American badger, the world-famous internet sensation that is the honey badger and many more.

Matt Hobs is a proud Bristolian, scientist and silly sausage. Following a PhD in Biochemistry, Matt started his comedy journey in 2012. Matt set about combining his two loves, stand-up and science.Drawing on his background as a scientist, Matt explains science and scientific principles. He makes complicated concepts simple, understandable and hilarious. 100% Badgers is Matt’s 4th hour show,following 2019’s ‘Bristolian of Science’
