## Nicola Werenowska – an artist’s talk with Matthew Linley (Talk)
Before it premieres at St Nicholas Church this October, enjoy an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at KATHARINE—a powerful new production proudly developed right here at Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre
Join award-winning playwright, Nicola Werenowska, and independent producer, Matthew Linley, for an intimate artist talk exploring the creation of this heritage-steeped project. Inspired by Katharine of Aragon, the show revisits history from a vital female perspective, using innovative sound technology and live performance to bring the past to life.
The Story: Nicola will share what makes Katharine of Aragon such a fascinating, seismic historical figure, and why her story matters today.
Live Performance: Hear a live reading of extracts from the script.
Exclusive First Listen: Be the first to hear snippets of the immersive binaural soundtrack, which was rehearsed at the Harwich Arts & Heritage Centre and recorded locally in Walton-on-the-Naze.
How it Works: Learn how the production uses unique headphone technology to turn historical spaces into an immersive theatrical experience, and get to have a go yourselves!.
Come along, meet some of the creative team, and celebrate a major new piece of theatre being made right here in Harwich.
